Rainy days can be productive too!

This morning it is raining, so my plans include staying mostly inside, except for the occasional doggie break.  If you love to cook, like me, you will use these days to find ways to be productive in the kitchen. I had a huge bag of apples from my wonderful neighbors, so I spent the day peeling, coring, and slicing them all! This is a wonderful family activity for older children too. It can be quality time spent with your kids and teaches them new skills in the kitchen. I will use the apples for pies, apple butter and homemade applesauce which the kids LOVE.
