The Hummingbird

Hummingbirds are fascinating creatures.  I could sit all day and watch them interact with each other. The faint buzzing of their wings and the tiny chirp they make when they are near immediately grabs my attention.  The hummingbirds in our area were late this year.  I don't know if it was because the weather took a while to warm up, but I was disappointed that I did not see any until August! When they finally started coming around to eat from my feeders, I was completely in awe of their playfulness and beauty.  Have you ever had a humming bird fly up to you and look at you with inquisitive little eyes?  If you sit very still in their presence, you might be able to have a conversation with one!  It is an experience you will never forget!! 

Legends say that hummingbirds float free of time, carrying our hopes for love, joy and celebration.  The hummingbird's delicate grace reminds us that life is rich, beauty is everywhere, every personal connection has meaning and that laughter is life's sweetest creation. ~ Papyrus
