Hello March! That time of year when spring is right around the corner... or so we are all hoping:) It snowed today, and as discouraging as it was, I heard a red bird singing his song loud and clear this evening which reminded me that warmer weather is hopefully making it's way into our part of the world. I am trying to embrace the seasons, as each one has it's beauty to behold. But the spring "itch" has gotten hold of me and I am dying to get out and start digging in the dirt! The full moon this month is something rather amazing, as it will reach it's peak on the same day as the spring equinox, March 20th. The last time this occurred was March 20th, 1981! Wow! This moon will also be considered a super moon as it will be closest to the Earth during this time. It can also be referred to as the Full Worm Moon as this is the time of year when the ground begins to soften enough for earthworms to reappear, birds feed, and the roots start to push their way up through the dark, rich soil. The earth experiences it's re-birth from a long winter slumber. Read the full article and more on the Full Worm Moon at www.Almanac.com/Gardening
